About the Client:

 

Express is working with multiple Shasta County clients seeking grill and line cooks.

 

About the Position:

 

Line and grill cooks will prepare meals ordered by customers.  These are full time positions ranging from $15.00-$18.00 per hour depending on client.  Weekends are mandatory.

 

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

 

The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals

Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

Prepare food for service when needed (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Answer, report and follow instructions

Clean up station

Stock inventory appropriately

Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

 

Qualifications:

 

Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook…fast food experience acceptable for grill cooks

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Familiar with restaurant industry best practices

 

Shift:

 

Monday-Sunday

Hours vary

 

Benefits:

 

After probationary period depending on client

 

Compensation:

 

$15.00-$18.00 depending on experience and client
