Position Overview:
Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a full-time Legal Intern to work out of our New York City office. The intern will work with our Trust Attorneys and members of our Trust Officer teams on a variety of trust and estate administration matters. Job duties will include reviewing legal documents such as trusts, wills and receipt and release agreements; assisting with day to day trust administration matters such as discretionary distributions and estate administration matters such as reviewing appraisals and collecting and distributing assets as well as various other legal research projects. We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in trusts and estates, is organized, energetic, enjoys working as part of a team, can prioritize and pays attention to detail.
This is a full-time internship, where interns will work approximately 35 hours per week and earn $35 per hour. The intern will be expected to come into our office (in-person) approximately 2 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviewing legal documents such as trusts, wills and receipt and release agreements
- Assisting with day-to-day trust administration matters
- Assist with various other legal research projects, as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Pursuing a law degree (JD) from an accredited law school
- An interest in trusts and estates
- Strong organizational skills
- High energy, motivated, and team-oriented
- Ability to prioritize and pay attention to detail. Must be detail-oriented

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 35 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay rate of $35/hr in New York City, NY.
