The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment. Prior first-party property insurance experience and knowledge using the software management system Clio and Florida Court E-filing System is a plus.

Position Summary:

Our Legal Assistants & Paralegals are responsible to perform various legal, administrative and clerical tasks to support the firm services. You will have career growth and a potential for future advancement based on your individual accomplishments and contributions to the firm’s overall strategic plan and success.

Responsibilities

• Create new matters on case management system
• Answer phone calls, greet guests, and perform clerical tasks.
• Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings
• Maintain attorney’s calendar.
• Managing tasking system to ensure timely completion of all tasks assigned and updates to deadlines (Clio software system)
• Gathering and organizing records, documents and other materials.
• E-file legal documents in Florida’s E-Portal System.
• Send out correspondence to parties/non-parties via email, regular mail, or certified mail.
• Communicate with clients.
• Set up Court calls or Zoom for hearings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

• 1+ year of legal assistant in first party property preferred, but willing to train for the correct candidate
• Knowledge using Clio case management system
• Knowledge with E-filing court portals
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Strong skills in both verbal and written communication
• Excellent proofreading skills
• Ability to handle large workloads
• Ability to adapt quickly to new processes/procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.88 - $21.53 per hour
