One of eight campuses of Indiana University, Indiana University Kokomo, is a comprehensive non-residential campus located 50 miles north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, a city with a population of about 57,000. Committed to student success, the campus serves approximately 3,230 students from a 14-county area in north-central Indiana. IU Kokomo has around 260 full-time faculty and staff. Basic Qualifications
Successful candidates must be able to teach undergraduate (didactic, lab and clinical), and are expected to show evidence of effective teaching and recent clinical experience. Course load will be 96% FTE per semester. A year of teaching experience at the undergraduate level in nursing is preferred. Evidence of effective teaching and service will be required for promotion.
Appropriate university/professional/community service is also required, including committee work and engaging in campus initiatives to increase retention and enrollment. A commitment to mentoring students is preferred in our dynamic and student-centered environment. Candidates must minimally have an earned master's degree in nursing by the date of hire from an accredited program, and must hold a current unencumbered license to practice as an RN in Indiana.
