Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing district-wide direction and support for learning support programs, including PBIS, The Leader In Me, Mentors in Violence Prevention, etc., to aid students to learn as effectively as possible in both group situations and individually, inside and outside of the classroom. Hiring Specifications:EducationBachelor's degree in early childhood education, elementary education, reading and math, special education, school psychology, counseling, or a closely related field requiredCertificationValid driver's license and dependable transportation for primarily in-district travelExperienceFour (4) years of professional teaching or counseling experience requiredPrevious leadership experience requiredPrior experience designing and delivering training programs, preferredExperience in effective behavior interventions, including school-wide, classroom, and individual student behavior intervention plans, school improvement, and cultural diversitySkills, Knowledge & Abilities Effective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to provide support to multiple buildings at one timeKnowledge of and experience working with a diverse group of peopleAbility to establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizationsAbility to demonstrate patience, encouragement, and support Ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and respectfully with staff, parents, students, and community members regardless of race, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnic/national origin, religion, marital status, age, socio-economic status, or disability Ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing the scope of authority and protecting confidential informationSolid organizational skills and ability to prioritizeAbility to effectively coach and support teachers and their instructional teamsKnowledge of school discipline practicesAbility to understand, use, and share data related to practices and progress monitoringFlexibility to attend school, district, regional, and state meetingsAbility to conduct effective meetingsAbility to manage multiple components of program development, training technical assistance, and evaluation tasksKnowledge in school-wide systems of PBIS, wraparound, multiple systems perspectives (education, special education, mental health, etc.) Ability to handle emotionally charged situations Proven problem-solving skills Technology RequirementsBasic computer skills (computer navigation, email, web browser, Employee Portal)Intermediate computer skills (Google Suites, search function, student information systems, basis Promethean)High computer skills (familiarity with Education Tech Tools, Informational systems specific to positionAbility to reach all skill levels listed if not already acquired Supervision of Others:N/A Personal Contacts:All district staffPreK-12 students and familiesLocal, regional, or state-wide program providersMental Health, Physical Health, and other Community Providers Job Duties:To establish and maintain a positive classroom climate, the district is expanding and sustaining the implementation of PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support), Leader In Me, and MVP (Mentors in Violence Protection).Supports building-level teams by providing technical assistance (e.g., meeting dates, calendar tasks, agendas, communication with staff, and action plan development).Collaborates with learning support networks to connect students, families, service organizations, and schools to meet student and family needs.Participates in and facilitates district and building-level team meetings.Establishes and schedules quarterly building-level meetings with administrators to review improvement plans.Implements and monitors safe and supportive school initiatives.Provides oversight for procedures and policies regarding remedial services. Provides guidance and assistance to counselors in implementing the Second Step curriculum.Develops and maintains knowledge of district and individual building policies and procedures (e.g., handbooks, budgets, staff development).Oversees the progress of district teams, collects data, and develops and presents reports as requested.Participates in sub-region, statewide, and national training as needed or requested.Works with teachers and instructional staff to create an engaging physical environment for students.

Assists teachers with individual student documentation, intervention, and data analysis.Communicates effectively with students, staff, and community members.Allocates time and resources effectively.Designs and delivers training and assistance for new team members. Collects and analyzes behavioral data from Tableau to generate reports and provide them to buildings.Monitors and tracks student behavioral data to identify areas of concern and works with administrators to identify and implement appropriate Learning Supports.Prepares documents (e.g., procedures, flyers, customized flow charts, etc.) to document events, providing and/or requesting information.Evaluate situations (e.g., involving staff, students, the public, etc.) and take appropriate action for resolution.Maintains documents, files, and records and ensures compliance with established financial, legal, and/or district requirements.Respond effectively to calls, concerns, or complaints from staff, students, parents, public agencies, etc.Collects and analyzes student data, including attendance, academic performance, and behavior.Works cooperatively with Family Support Worker(s) and Counselor(s).Attends Tier II and III Intervention Meetings, PSP (Problem Solving Process), SARBs (School Attendance Review Boards), etc., when necessary.Provides Tier III Behavior Interventions.Coordinates follow-up services as needed.Provides information to families regarding services available in the district and community.Maintains accurate data on each assigned student.Communicate with staff, administrators, and families concerning students' social, emotional, and behavioral progress.Performs other duties as assigned by the building administrator.
