ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Supporting the company’s Quality System, policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and good manufacturing practices through daily leadership and mentoring of others
- Managing and leading improvement projects, including complex processes optimizations to increase productivity, maximize profitability, and improve customer satisfaction
- Utilizing statistical methods and tools to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support process improvement efforts
- Creating and maintaining productivity KPI’s to identify process improvement opportunities
- Preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate findings and proposed solutions to stakeholders
- Acting as a liaison between engineering teams and other departments to support and manage various improvement projects
- Supporting the production lines in terms of safety projects and hazards elimination to ensure an injury free workplace
- Applying DMAIC principles for improvement within the facility using Lean Six Sigma principles
- Facilitating and leading Kaizen events or other improvement projects to achieve facility objectives
- Utilizing Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to eliminate waste, improve process efficiency, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Working with the engineering and quality teams to increase the first pass yield of the production lines
- Coaching and mentoring cross-functional teams in the proper use and application of Lean Six Sigma tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, 5S, Kanban, GEMBA meetings, Design of Experiments, and 8D Problem Solving
- Acting as a technical advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies, and processes; ensuring projects and initiatives adhere to Company standards
- Acting as a liaison when transferring new products to manufacturing work center
- Leading and/or working independently as a team member on manufacturing investigations, validation and/or process improvement projects
- Examining issues from diverse perspectives (safety, compliance, automation, equipment, process, and people) to best understand and resolve the root cause
- Analyzing data and metrics along with identification of problem areas and providing actionable insight
- Spearheading corrective actions for new process and product issues
- Executing assignments against critical-path timelines in a right-first-time manner
- BS in industrial, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or a 4-year technical degree in a related discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or operations, preferably in a low volume high mix environment
- Lean Six Sigma certification (or equivalent)
- Fluency in English is required, intermediate level in Chinese is a plus
- Familiarity with ERP systems ( JDE)
- Manufacturing / operations experience within an ISO9001 certified company (or equivalent)
- Experience with new product development, scale-up, and sustaining engineering
- Position requires up to 25-50% international travel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Statistical knowledge including SPC and Statistical Tools/Minitab
- Proven history of leading and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply line balancing techniques
