As a lead teacher, you will enjoy a classroom with a strong foundation of systems to help easily maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom. The hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m, Monday-Friday. Candidates need to have a strong understanding of the way a toddler classroom functions and how to easily incorporate daily care routines along with planned lessons.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma-minimum
- Must have a minimum of at least 6 months to 1 year of teaching experience with young children
- Associates Degree/CDA/TCC preferred or willingness to obtain within 9 months of employment
- Reliable transportation to school location daily
- Ability to work full time schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain parent communication and family relationships
- Implement daily schedule and age-appropriate lesson plans
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Conduct individual and group activities to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Monitor and assess each child's progress
- Maintaining electronic daily sheets for each child
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors with a positive approach and flexible approaches
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of individual children
