Are you a driven, detail-oriented individual with a passion for construction and project management? Our organization is seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be involved in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our multifamily construction projects and ensuring that all phases of the projects are completed within budget and on schedule. This is an incredible opportunity for a professional with at ten three years of experience in the industry, looking to take their career to the next level.
Responsibilities:
As our Lead Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management, from pre-construction planning to completion.
2. Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction teams and subcontractors to ensure projects adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety.
3. Developing and implementing detailed project schedules and communicating these to all stakeholders.
4. Ensuring all construction operations are in compliance with design specifications and building codes.
5. Handling any onsite issues or emergencies with professionalism and in a timely manner.
6. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans.
7. Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other construction specialists.
8. Managing project documentation and delivering progress reports to stakeholders.
9. Facilitating positive and effective communication amongst team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Lead Superintendent position should have the following qualifications:
1. Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry, specifically with multifamily projects.
2. Proven experience in project management, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and building codes.
4. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team to achieve project goals.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
8. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Certifications in project management and safety (such as OSHA certification) will be a plus.
