The Lead EC Implementation Planner is a critical role that will manage implementation of affected items on ECOs and work with cross functional teams to ensure the implementation of the changes have been processed. The ideal candidate will also do weekly reporting on the impact of the change for current and future builds and lead the implementation team board review meeting.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:- Gathering appropriate information based on the type of change being dispositioned
- Acting as main point of contact for ECO with Site change implementation needs.
- Lead the Implementation Board Meetings
- Associate related ECOs to current and future builds.
- Working with field service to ensure any required retrofits are planned and scheduled.
- Work with Supply Chain Planners to ensure material implementation activities are correct
- Provide status updates for relevant ECOs affecting current builds and other relevant schedules that have sensitive timelines.
- Provide data to assess impact analysis on specific parts that have open inventory, purchase orders, sales orders, and work orders.
- Reviewing ECO data pertaining to the implementation and ensuring that all information is accurate.
- Work with engineering to resolve any challenges and/or issues.
- Identifying criticality of ECOs with regards to current builds and the timeliness of implementation.
- identify all the key stakeholders that will be involved in the change and define their level of involvement.
- Identify any training needs that must be addressed to implement the change
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management depending on the ECO disposition.
- Ensure re-work instructions and transactions are implemented according to the ECO.
- Set-up and coordinate the roll-out of new APN's and assign action items to designated stakeholders.
- Manage parts and Work orders for Product Design Introduction Process.
- Effective communication skills to provide critical feedback to ensure the process is followed and data quality is excellent.
- Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds.
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Must produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a customer-service attitude.
- Must instill a "can-do" spirit within the Configuration Management staff inspiring them to produce consistently accurate results at a fast pace.
- Experience with ECO implementation
- Proven track record in working with different functional groups to drive the implementation of ECO's.
- High-level attention to detail and organizational skills.
- 5+ years' experience in Configuration Management
- Requires basic knowledge of office procedures and basic computer skills in Microsoft office.
- Ability to work under general direction.
- Experience using a PLM system.
- A four-year degree or a two-year degree augmented with courses and/or seminars in engineering change control, change requests is preferred
