We currently have a unique opportunity for a Lead Associate, within our Equity Manager Research team. The role will be a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL, Stamford, CT or New York, NY. The main focus is on researching long-only equity investment strategies (Global, International, and US Equities). This will involve originating investment ideas, conducting desk-based research, interviewing investment teams from around the world, and documenting/communicating views both formally and informally. As an important member of our research team, you will have the opportunity to develop and work in close collaboration with your colleagues globally, contribute to our intellectual capital, grow into a subject-matter expert, and remain engaged in financial market developments.
Role objectives
- Source and analyze investment ideas globally
- Critically evaluate fund managers’ sustainable competitive advantages. Assess their team behavioral traits and form judgement on investment skill by analyzing the investment philosophy and process.
- Document findings
- Create and interpret quantitative and qualitative content to help support team decision making
The Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree required; (finance, economics, and/or investments helpful)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Curious and enthusiastic self-starter who can balance independent work with team collaboration
- Analytical fact-oriented mind-set with an openness to other opinions
- Original and creative thinker with a willingness to provide fresh perspectives and an ability to incorporate a big picture view
- Reasonable understanding of the financial markets, intellectual inquisitiveness and professional demeanor

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role.
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $90,000 – $125,000 USD. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
