Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Teach preschoolers basic literacy education, including letter recognition, phonics, and reading comprehension
- Introduce foundational math concepts through hands-on activities and games
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child's unique needs
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being and development of each child
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Foster social-emotional development through activities that promote empathy, teamwork, and self-expression
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of preschool curriculum and childhood development principles
- Excellent classroom management skills to create an engaging learning environment
- Effective behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors
- Ability to provide nurturing care while ensuring the safety and well-being of children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Creativity in developing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning through play
- Knowledge of child welfare regulations and best practices in childcare
Qualifications:
- CDA Certification or Associates Degree
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of planning techniques for preschoolers
