PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for scanning and verifying for departments converting digitized records. Prepare and scan various documents, for electronic retention purposes Maintain the scanned documents and ensure that they are properly filed and easily accessible.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Typing test >40 WPM required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to use computer and software to develop spreadsheets, and word processing
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Docs
Proficient in keyboarding and file maintenance/scanning
Ability to maintain accurate records
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Flexible and able to adjust easily to changes in daily routine and timelines
Work independently without direct guidance and supervision
Handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Work Conditions:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including prolonged keyboarding & use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Frequent lifting and carrying (less than 50 pounds)
Environment: Work with frequent interruptions; Must maintain professional demeanor under stress; Must have problem solving skills.
Regular attendance is an essential function.
Minimum Experience:
Office experience preferred but not required
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Help in maintaining district digital records.
  2. Scan and verify the conversion of documents to the Laserfiche system using various department templates.
  3. Operate scanning equipment, adjust settings as necessary, and ensure that each scanned document is accurate and legible.
  4. Process and organize scanned documents in various formats for retention on network and local drives
  5. Properly dispose of scanned materials when so directed.
  6. Work with district personnel digitizing records within the district.
  7. Maintain confidentiality of information.
  8. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  9. Comply with policies established by federal and state laws and regulations, and local board policy.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned
