Job Description:
Full-time, tenure-line, Instructor of Languages and Global Studies based on the Jamestown campus, available August 2023. Responsibilities include teaching courses in the Spanish language sequence, ideally in an additional in-demand language area (French or ASL), and in Global Studies. This faculty member will have direct involvement in development of a micro-credential in cultural competency and will be a resource for other programs to globalize their curricula.
Qualifications:
Required: Master's degree in Spanish and Advanced Low rating in Spanish on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI).
Preferred: Advanced Low OPI rating in French or demonstrated proficiency in ASL. Experience with New York State language instruction standards. Community college teaching experience. Experience with dual-enrollment programs. Experience with global learning, international studies or study abroad programs.
