Safety and Plant Policies & Regulations
Understand and comply with Cal-Osha regulations and Company policies as they pertain to the safety of all employees.
Read, understand and acknowledge company policies as written in the Employee Handbook.
All employees are required to adhere to all Food Safety requirements and programs including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Defense and Allergen Programs. Food safety training will be completed a minimum of once a year.
Responsibilities:
Comply, understand, and promote all GMP regulations, Food Safety and Allergen Programs.
Key Duties:
Arrive on time for shift.
Maintain integrity of tests and laboratory.
Keep lab clean and sanitary.
Follow GMP guidelines.
Follow aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
Must be able to perform lab tests as necessary.
Test must be completed in a timely manner with appropriate test methods.
Perform weekly and monthly maintenance tasks on instruments.
Prepare and stock in-house media for use in testing.
Sterilize and dispose of biohazardous waste.
Prepare environmental swabs.
Record all testing results.
o When results are out of specification must notify supervisor immediately and take appropriate corrective actions.
Receipt and verification of laboratory materials.
Other duties as assigned.
