Job Description
Summary
This entry level position is responsible for performing lab duties to support the production and shipping of ELISA kits by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties
1. Run Enzyme Linked Immunoassay (proficient at making serial dilutions).
2. Utilizes automated equipment to coat 96 well microtiter plates and performs quality control testing.
3. Produces and aliquots buffers used in manufacturing test kits.
4. Completes production forms and keeping accurate records.
5. Communicates with supervisor to monitor production.
Job Duties
· Performs all tests required with ELISA kit production.
· Performs Quality Control ELISA plates.
· Prepares and performs other assay development experiments such as antibody optimization tests and stability tests.
· Generates data and results from ELISA tests or other assay tests using Gen5, Excel, or similar programs in a timely and accurate manner.
· Plates production and equipment cleaning and maintenance.
· Follows SOPs to make different buffers as well as bottling and labeling new buffers.
· Production of buffers, aliquot solutions and applies appropriate identification labels.
· Performs general lab duties such as ensuring supplies are well stocked, lab space is organized, and all documentation and SOPs are up to date.
· Performs general lab cleaning such as washing dishes, cleaning lab bench tops, cleaning the cold room, removing the recycling, and emptying the trash.
· Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
· Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills
Has advanced basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents, enter database information, create presentations, download forms, and preserve/backup important data.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
