How You'll Make an Impact

The Laboratory Technician role is responsible for performing all laboratory analyses, instrument maintenance and calibrations, and maintaining consumable inventory and sample retain storage. The Laboratory Technician role also performs basic functions in the DCS system and performs SAP transactional functions. The Laboratory Technician works effectively in a team environment with frequent interactions with Packaging Technicians, Blenders and Management. In the role, you would be responsible for:

• Performing all required laboratory testing
• Performing all required data input into the LIMS system
• Completing all associated SAP transactional functions in an accurate and timely basis
• Maintaining lab equipment, calibrating and troubleshooting
• Calculating adjustments and reuse percentages
• Inputting data accurately into the DCS blending system
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion

What You'll Need

• BS in Chemistry, Biology, or chemistry related field
• Minimum two years experience in a laboratory environment

• Experience running typical lab equipment and some advanced lab equipment associated with non-aqueous testing

• Must be safety oriented

• Strong mathematical skills

• Must possess good interpersonal skills, including the ability to function effectively in a team environment (interactions may include direct involvement or contact with external customers)

• Ability to walk, bend, climb, stoop, and do some periodic lifting

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
