Description:
Oversee daily practice and weekly competition schedules for Boys Basketball. Provide bus supervision for all out-of-town competitions, and locker room supervision throughout the season. Build quality relationships with middle school youth and maintain cooperative partnerships with paid and volunteer coaches. Build a strong communication network with program staff, parents, and community. Provide inventory management of all supplies, equipment, and uniforms and report competition scores to the OMS Activities Coordinator.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED - two or four-year degree in an education related field preferred. Basketball coaching experience including foundational skill development required. Excellent inter/intra-personal skills. Focus on leadership and the community of Owatonna as a whole are highly desired. Strong technology skills beneficial. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Schedule:
* Boys' season is January 2, 2024 to February 22, 2024.
* Boys' Basketball Parent/Athlete Meeting Scheduled for December 19, 2023 at 6:00 pm.
* Practice time approximately 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. (Can vary due to coaches available time)
Pay Rate:
$1,475 per head coach per season
