Position Summary:
The Kanban coordinator is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving our kanban pull process.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Coordinates and participates in all Kanban implementations, adhering to established standards, methods, and procedures.
*Coordinates and monitors all Kanban process steps, adhering to established standards, methods, and procedures.
*Reviews, adjusts, maintains all parts monthly to add to kanban, remove from kanban, or adjust the quantity adhering to established standards, methods, and procedures.
*Provides instruction, guidance, and maintains close surveillance over larger, more critical parts on Kanban.
*Reviews all production restrictions related to kanban part shortages to make any modifications appropriate to solve root causes.
*Foster collaboration between teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and effective communication of project statuses and blockers.
*Lead initiatives to continuously improve the Kanban process, adapting methodologies to suit evolving business needs.
*Collect and analyze performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the Kanban system and create reports to showcase improvements and trends.
*Provides weekly summaries of performance, accomplishments, and planned tasks.
*Communicates daily with their supervisor to ensure all tasks are achieved.
*Maintains conformance with all safety rules and regulations.
*Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Education and/or Experience:
*Two years of related technical experience in kanban / material pull processes.
*Two years of manufacturing experience.
*Proficient in MS Office applications (ie. Outlook & Excel).
*High School Diploma with strong math/science skills.
*Knowledge of Oracle a plus.
*Post high school related classes a plus.
Requirements:
*Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to write legibly.
*Must be able to follow established policies and procedures, and work under the direction of the supervisor.
*Must be able to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
*Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
*Able to commute between the NH SIG facilities when needed.
