Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Geologist to join our team. As a Junior Geologist, you will assist in conducting geological research, analyzing data, and providing technical support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the Exploration phase of a project.
Duties:
- Digital core logging using acQuire
- Oriented core logging
- Sampling of drill core
- Use of portal XRF & Terra Spec
- Digital core photography and maintenance of digital photography database.
- Must have a good attitude working in a small team and willing to work 10 hours a day plus commute time. 20 days on, 10 days break
- Assist in fieldwork activities, such as collecting samples and conducting surveys
- Surface mapping program over summer
- Build and maintain databases of geological information
- Able to lift and move 60 lbs repeatedly
- Need to be an American citizen or have an appropriate visa
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field
- Strong knowledge of geological principles and concepts
- Excellent technical writing skills for documenting research procedures and findings
- Ability to conduct independent research and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving
- Good communication skills for presenting research findings
