Form of work*Junior Computer Operator**Role Details:*One of our DoD clients is looking for a Jr. Computer Operator to work onsite at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Candidates must be a eligible to work W2 and must have an Active Security Clearance.
This role is for Third Shift only, Monday-Friday.*Top Skills Details:*Active Secret ClearanceHelpdesk SupportDesktopComputer Operations*Role Description:** Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.* Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Performs work that requires practical experience and training.
Work is performed under supervision.* Perform network administration for local SSC enclaves within the contractor’s responsibility. Network enclaves include hardware, firmware, software and wiring/optics. Applies to all DSRCs, unless otherwise specified in Appendix A:* Configure networks and associated supporting software and utilities to optimize systems performance and systems services.
Perform an analysis of the benefits and risks of implementing available hardware and software updates prior to implementing changes.* Coordinate naming conventions and naming services to meet DoD standards.* Maintain utilization, availability and performance data, and operation and maintenance logs.* Perform causal analysis when directed by the Government or when data indicate a trend requiring further analysis.* Provide 2nd Tier Support to users for all network systems.* Provide complete cybersecurity support to remain in compliance at all times coordinating with all monitoring activities.* Maintain the network topology, intersystem connection, and data flow diagrams which support RMF activities and update at least semi-annually, or as directed by the government.* Maintain all network devices in accordance with DoD policies (e.g. IAVMs/STIGs/SRGs). Verification is completed via results of HBSS, RADIX and ACAS scans or current technologies adopted by HPCMP.* Develop and maintain a comprehensive network diagram and dataflow diagram for SSC.* Maintain each SSC’s Firewall Action Request process and procedure to include detailed VLAN, router, and switch Access Control List.* Provide immediate notifications to government staff of any network degradation affecting local operations.* Assist in debugging network issues or slowdowns for customers, maintaining a proactive stance to anticipate avoidable problems.* Monitor and interpret trends to measure efficacyRequirements:Bachelors Degree + no experienceorAssociates Degree + 2 years of relevant experienceorHigh School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
