What You Bring to the Role
Ø An object-oriented programming language such as Java, C# or Kotlin
Ø 5 or more years of work history and at least 3 years’ working experience in an IT company-based position.
Ø Java or C# (one or the other) Both are a plus.
Ø Must have basics of OOP Concepts
Ø At least 2 years of experience in software development using Java.
Ø Great interviewing skills as you will be interviewing with many companies and leads in the tech industry.
Ø Experience with or exposure to software testing using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Espresso, Robolectric, Cucumber
Ø Experience with or exposure to deliverable assignment and tracking tools, such as Jira, Trello, or the like
Ø Experience with or exposure to continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis
Ø Experience with code repository tools such as GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab, or the like
Ø Sound understanding of the entire Software Development Lifecycle
Ø Strong knowledge of software design patterns, data structures, and best practices
Ø Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field
Ø Strong English written and verbal communication skills
Ø Availability to travel (80% after training portion) and live in the U.S.
Ø Nice-to-have:
o Understanding of production environment management methods such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
o Experience with or exposure to REST Web APIs (XML and JSON)
o Working with third party libraries related to Java or Kotlin
o XML, SQL, JavaScript/CSS/JQUERY/HTML, JSON
o Any experience in application development or published apps in the app stores.
