Control Point Associates is seeking a Jr. Subsurface Utility Engineering Technician in our Warren, NJ office. Essential Functions:

• Jr. SUE Technicians will be trained how to perform the services offered by the SUE branch. Services including Utility Locating & inverts, Concrete Imaging, Vacuum Excavation, 3D Structure Scanning, Utility Survey, and Video Pipe Inspection.
• Ability to read & understand a variety of maps including Survey Drawings, Construction Plans, Blueprints, & As-Builts, etc. is helpful but not required.
• Proficient in planning & time management
• Perform all task assignments using required industry standards.
• Effectively communicate with Supervisors and clients.
• Neatly and concisely document field work & results
• Overnight travel will be required.
• Positively represent the company while communicating professionally and regularly with customers on site
• Maintain and take care of your assigned company vehicle and equipment.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Entry level experience performing subsurface utility engineering preferred but not required.
• OSHA Certifications (10, 30, 40, etc.), HAZWOPER, TWIC, SWAC, etc. are a plus but not required.
• Ability to learn new things and adapt to changing environments.

Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand/walk for 8+ hours a day. Exposure to all weather conditions: hot, cold, wet, humid, or other conditions caused by weather. The Jr. Subsurface Utility Engineering Technician will work in the field with the SUE crew.  Field work is often performed on busy streets or construction sites. Loud noise may be experienced at times.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
