Activity / Project Role: Typical Tasks
- Determine initial resource requirements for all projects (Completed by week 2)
- Assist program managers, project managers, and business systems analysts for PSJ
- Sequence existing with the new projects based upon urgency, priority (importance), and dependency (Completed by week 8)
- Produce weekly portfolio status reports and assist with continued Planview rollout.
- Consulting related to governance and structure
- Manage the portfolio to ensure that the plan is executed well, adjusting the plan as needs change
- Designs and manages overall portfolio of program and project planning activities
- Monitors and reviews projects contributing to overall programs and portfolio against objectives.
- Manages the procurement, contracts, deployment and performance of portfolio resources
- Manages overall portfolio budgets, costs and timescales including those for hardware, software and staff outside direct management control
- Implements and manages strategy, procedures and plans for formal risk, quality and change management plans for portfolio, program, and projects in accordance with agreed organizational standards and methods
- Manages cross portfolio dependencies and synergies in support of increased productivity and agility
- Ensures that the operability and maintenance elements of IT projects and programs are addressed, establishing a strong relationship with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition through implementation and live running
- Design program strategy and procedures, and identify and approve changes, to program plans
- Provide knowledge transfer to County internal team members by leading knowledge transfer sessions
Training and Experience:Sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the possession and direct application of the following knowledge and abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
- Experience working with law enforcement agencies in an IT environment a must and 10 years of Project Management Experience
