SalaryCareGivers Home Care is seeking a positive and proactive IT Systems Administrator to manage our company’s computer and network infrastructure. In addition to performing basic troubleshooting, you will be implementing new software, network, and computer hardware.
Job Location: Tonawanda NY (occasional travel to branch locations)
Employment Status: Part Time (would consider Full Time depending on skill set)
Per NYS DOH mandate, all home care agency staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID, unless they have a medical exemption from their doctor. Boosters encouraged.
Responsibilities:
Mentor and provide technical support via email, Teams, and phone for staff.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to software, email (Office 365), telephones, and network in a timely fashion.
Responsible for maintaining network security – monitor, manage, and configure firewalls (SonicWall) and anti-virus (Webroot & Malwarebytes).
Manage network servers and storage.
Set up accounts and workstations.
Create and maintain documentation/notes related to operations activities.
As necessary, prioritize and escalate issues. Work with vendors to resolve incidents.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on computer equipment.
Requirements:
Prior experience in field required – 2 year helpdesk support or 1 year systems administrator required
Understand basic IP networking – firewalls (preferably SonicWall), switches, access points
Preferably, experience with IBM i (AS/400) and databases
Willing to travel/drive to different locations
Able to lift moderately heavy items
Exceptional leadership, organization, and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
