This position is responsible for basic construction, testing, implementation and operations/support of IT Systems and solutions in across BJ's Distribution Centers. The person in this position provides direct support to all levels of the organization as required during business and non-business hours.
Responsibilities:
- Applies technical knowledge to assist internal users with computer problems.
- Creates Image for Endpoints (Desktops, Micro PC's and Laptops).
- Configure devices (Desktops, Micro PC's and Laptops) for the PDC's.
- Maintain and track all endpoint assets within the PDC Environment.
- Configure and deploy Printers at the PDC's.
- Create & maintain documentation for all relevant endpoint procedures.
- Manage all endpoint relevant upgrades, support, and Life Cycle Management for PDC's.
- Conducts research to understand, explain and resolve technology issues & provides updates to team members experiencing problems.
- Utilizes help desk tracking software to present recommendations and improvements on user systems.
- Initiates onboarding procedures for new users into the system.
- Ensures response times are quick and effective to appropriately resolve requests.
- Serves as primary IT contact for all Team Members across all DC's.
Competencies:
- Troubleshooting skills. Ability to foster teamwork. Decision-making skills. Oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in Dell & Lenovo Endpoints including thin clients, Micro PC's and laptops.
- Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills. Technical expertise.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience.
- Initially 25% travel with reduction of travel to 5% post project.
