APPLICANTS THAT HAVE PREVIOUSLY APPLIED NEED TO RE-APPLY TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.Qualifications: To qualify for the IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INET), GS-2210-12, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience AND four competencies equivalent to the level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience in the operation, configuration, and management of VMware virtualization, Juniper network devices, NetApp storage Arrays, Red Hat Linux, Windows Servers and workstations and Cisco IOS devices.
- Experience in responding to and resolving problems with software, hardware and systems management and planning, developing, coordinating and implementing the IT contingency plan.
You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
1. Attention to Detail - Interpreting IT policies, standards, and guidelines, conducting analyses and recommending resolutions to complex IT issues, evaluating and recommending the adoption of innovation approaches to delivering IT systems and software capability.
2. Customer Service - Providing technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to peers, users, and management on a wide range of and variety of complex IT issues.
3. Oral Communication - Applying oral communication techniques sufficient to relay routine and critical information to users, management, and senior leadership.
4. Problem Solving - Responding to and resolving problems with software, hardware and systems management and planning, developing, coordinating and implementing the IT contingency plan.
