Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is IT-related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving as well as develop, integrate, and implement solutions to diverse, highly complex problems across multiple areas and disciplines. Develop plans and techniques to fit new situations to improve overall program and policies. Define, direct, or leads highly challenging projects/programs. Establish precedents in application of problem-solving techniques to enhance existing processes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Advanced ability to apply computer science knowledge in the development of software for real-time and/or post-flight systems, to include: a thorough understanding of one or more scientific programming languages (such as C++), advanced understanding of various interfaces (such as serial or network), understanding of various computer architectures/platforms, and some understanding of advanced mathematics such as coordinate system transformations, unit conversions, calculus, linear algebra, and statistics.
- Understanding of sensor systems such as GPS, Inertial, and RADAR, and their applications in test flight operations, including but not limited to: the types of measurements from each and how they apply to a solution, possible error sources and associated correction methodologies, knowledge of associated message formats and parameters, and data transport methodologies.
- Ability to independently research technical issues using multiple sources to determine solutions.
- Working knowledge of the Windows operating system and the Visual Studio development environment, and understanding of other operating systems, such as Linux and MS-DOS.
- Ability to effectively interact in a team environment consisting of differing levels of expertise.
- Skilled in written and oral communication in a technical environment.

Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
