We are looking for an experienced IT professional to join our team as an IT Solution Architect/ Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both solution architecture and project management, with the ability to design, plan, and execute technology solutions that meet the business needs of our clients. They will work closely with the Engineering Manager to plan and designate project resources and the Managing Director to prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. They will also be responsible for gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current network or software systems in place to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing the vetting of new technology.
Responsibilities:
· Design and develop technology solutions that meet the needs of the client, including hardware, software, and networking components.
· Work closely with the client to identify and gather required data to generate a Scope of Work.
· Build quotes for SOWs using ConnectWise Sell
· Coordinating with team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
· Develop project plans and schedules, including task assignments, timelines, and resource requirements.
· Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
· Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
· Meeting with team members to identify and resolve issues.
· Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
· Managing customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
· Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables.
· Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
· Developing process and SOPs for all aspects of projects
· Tracking and monitoring of all KPIs relevant to projects
· Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
· Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and develop and implement mitigation plans as needed.
· Manage relationships with vendors and other external partners to ensure that project deliverables are met.
· Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and status reports.
· Building and integrating information systems to meet the company’s needs.
· Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
· Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
· Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.
· Working with technical teams to develop scalable solutions and products.
· Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
· Preparing and document testing requirements.
· Developing processes and SOPs for solutions architect role. Performing potential client on-site assessments
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in IT solution architecture and project management.
Previous experience a Systems Engineer or Solutions Architect required
Strong technical skills, including experience with software development, networking, and cloud computing.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and external partners.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Connectwise Sell
Proficient at reading and modifying floor plans and familiarity with wireless survey technologies.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
