The Product Owner will partner with Product Management, business partners and stakeholders to translate product strategy and problem solving into a detailed, prioritized backlog of user stories. The Product Owner will collaborate with the delivery team(s) to implement, measure, and learn from the improvements they have made. The Product Owner manages execution of the product features and delivery roadmap for International programs that are aligned to KPI's that measure the objectives of both Costco's IT Division/International IT and line of business stakeholders.

ROLE

  • Supports business strategy by forming a backlog of features and user stories for use by the delivery team(s).
  • Articulates requirements for each user story with detailed acceptance criteria into consumable artifacts.
  • Uses data and insights effectively from multiple sources that benefits the business and the members.
  • Pursues incremental delivery constantly by looking for ways to meet business goals and learn from members and end users through frequent, measurable enhancements.
  • Works collaboratively and uses best practices with the delivery team(s) to support backlog refinement, planning, and long term release planning. Monitors and improves product health.
  • Ensures completed stories meet acceptance criteria by reviewing test plans, the output of automated testing or, where necessary, contributing to manual testing efforts. Prioritize and collaborate in resolution of issues and defects.
  • Seeks and improves processes across the entire product team(s).
  • Seeks and improves processes across the delivery team(s) by using retrospectives to inspect and adapt.
  • Communicates effectively with team members, stakeholders and all levels of management.
  • Works with stakeholders to identify solutions that support their business requirements.

REQUIRED
  • 2 years' worked as a Product Owner.
  • Technical background experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization both written and verbal.
  • Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including evening, weekend, and holiday work with up to 25% international travel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organization and research skills.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills.
  • Performs tasks with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Extremely responsive and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working in an environment with changing priorities.
  • Proven record of taking initiative, being self-motivated and a team player, as reflected in past reviews.

  • Proficient in User Story creation.
  • Expertise in utilizing standard documentation tools/utilities.

Pay Ranges: $125,000 - $160,000
