Job Title: IT Payroll Lead
Job Summary:
We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced IT Payroll Lead to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the payroll team, supporting payroll processes, systems, and interfaces. Your experience and expertise in working with Payroll processing companies like ADP and Ceridian will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our payroll operations. Additionally, experience with managing in-house payroll processing systems like Workday Payroll and PeopleSoft Payroll is highly valued. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the payroll team to support end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Work closely with payroll processors such as ADP and Ceridian, acting as the main point of contact and providing technical guidance and support.
- Manage payroll system interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with other HR and finance systems.
- Configure and maintain payroll systems, ensuring accurate setup of earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement system enhancements, updates, and automation to streamline payroll processes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for payroll systems, resolving issues and escalations in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular audits and data validation to ensure data integrity and compliance with payroll regulations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and legislation related to payroll processing to ensure compliance and optimize processes.
- Lead and participate in projects related to payroll systems and process improvements.
- Experience in managing in-house payroll processing systems like Workday Payroll and PeopleSoft Payroll is a plus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5-7 years) as an IT Payroll Lead or similar role, preferably in a large organization.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in using payroll processing systems such as ADP and Ceridian.
- Experience in managing in-house payroll processing systems like Workday Payroll and PeopleSoft Payroll is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications in payroll processing or related fields are a plus.
