PURPOSE
The Okta Administrator role will support the day-to-day operations of SMC's Okta environment. This role works closely with other SMC subsidiaries' IT teams to manage and support regional Okta instances. They will support our user base by providing daily administration for Okta.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provide support for the Okta platform by performing administration, troubleshooting, and application configuration
- Adhere to SMC IT security policies and procedures, when assisting with the planning and implementing of the OTKA environment
- Adhere to SMC's IT change control (enablement) process
- Works with the Support Desk as the initial point to efficiently resolve incidents, identify and escalate problems and consistently maintain departmental SLAs within acceptable levels
- Troubleshoot technical issues and act, leading the charge from identification through to resolution
- Adhere to existing policy and procedure as it relates to Okta group policy, configuration, maintenance, and support
- All other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Collaborative team environment in a shared workspace
- Carry a company-provided phone & participate in on-call rotation
- General office, computer room, warehouse, and factory areas
- Off-hours work and travel as required
- Sitting for long periods
- Minimum lifting requirements of 15 pounds
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a business, management, or technology field or relevant work experience
- 1+ years of administration in an M365 environment is preferred
- Basic understanding of ITSM Principles or ITIL4 Foundations certification
- One or more of the following certifications is preferred:
- Okta Certified Professional
- Okta Certified Administrator
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
