Position Summary: The IT Coordinator/ Tier 1-3 Support will be responsible for administration and Tier 1 to Tier 3 level support of a data center and network environment of 70+ mostly virtualized servers at multiple locations utilizing MS Windows, Cisco, VMware, Horizon VDI, and other high level technologies. In a small department environment, this position will require working with all Information Technology responsibilities and IT department personnel. This position coordinates with all departments, locations, and levels of the organization including external customers.
Specific Responsibilities/Examples of Duties:
- Tier 3 level support on all aspects of hardware and software, VMware ESXi and Vsphere infrastructure, Cisco network infrastructure, server infrastructure, licensing, Active Directory, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, upgrades and patches, routine and preventative maintenance, network monitoring, troubleshooting, system documentation, and hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Administers, network security, including file security, network monitoring, firewalls, VPN, wireless, and VDI security etc.
- Supports VMware Vsphere equipment and software.
- Provides Tier 3 User support for Horizon View VDI, Appstack, Thinapp, and thin/zero client technology.
- Provides computer orientation to new company staff.
- Provides Tier 3 (highest level) of hardware and software troubleshooting and resolution.
- Works as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Create and/or update Technical work instructions documentation. Provide detailed documentation for policies and procedures.
- Perform Daily Maintenance checklist tasks. System checks, Verify backups, etc.

- Works successfully with little supervision
- Independently solves problems by exploring alternatives and selecting the appropriate solution.
- Supports telephony, including IP phone systems and cell phones.
- Works directly with outside vendors and contractors in trouble ticket escalation to resolve high level technical issues.
- Investigates and recommends technology options for the benefit of the client.
- Assists personnel of other departments as a computer resource.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related field or Associates degree and combined work experience; Minimum 6 years' experience VMware technology; and VMware certification or proven equivalent such as VCP-DCV.
- Experience:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with VMware Vsphere, Vcenter and Horizon View administrator and support.
- Ability to troubleshoot client-server technology, network equipment, VMware Vcenter, , VDI pools, and related hardware and software, ability to learn and support new systems and applications, knowledge of network and computer security procedures and protocol, ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
- Certifications or proven experience with: Windows server 2008; 2012, MS Exchange 2007, 2010 or above; Active Directory; VMware 5.x; VMware Horizon View 6.0, anti-virus; 802.1x wireless technology and security; Veeam Backup, Datadomain Backup technology. SolarWinds monitoring/alerting.
- Minimum 3 years general network troubleshooting.
- Minimum 5 years VMware infrastructure support and administration.
- Minimum 5 years Active Directory support and administration.
- Minimum 6 years of Computer Hardware break fix. Advance Level
- Extensive knowledge and experience with VMware; VDI, VMware Persona, UEM Management,, SSL Certificates, IIS, PowerShell Scripting
- In dept knowledge of Active Directory i.e. Sites and Services, Group Policy, DNS, NAP, DHCP.etc
- Utilizing monitoring tools, such as Solarwinds SAM, NPM, etc
- MDM, Mobil Device Management Experience
- SharePoint 2013 Administration and support
- Thorough understanding of the OSI model and how it applies to network devices.
- Basic Knowledge of Database Administration
- SharePoint 2010, 2013 administration, SQL query language, SSIS, CRM system certification or experience, ERP management experience, Manufacturing environment experience, SAP experience, IP phone systems experience.
