World Bioproducts' manufacturing and distribution facility, located in Libertyville, IL, is looking for an Inventory Specialist to join its warehouse who wants to make a significant contribution to our rapidly growing company. We specialize in developing, manufacturing, and distributing laboratory products for testing the safety of food. Our customers include many of the largest food manufacturers in the world.
The Inventory Specialist is a position that performs warehousing tasks and inventory cycle counts as assigned by the Warehouse Operations Manager. This position requires an ability to effectively work independently, often without direct supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct cycle-counts to ensure quantity on hand in both finished goods and raw materials locations are accurate and reconciled as necessary.
- Maintain inventory in quarantine location, ensuring the physical location quantities align with what is tracked by the company’s accounting system.
- Ensure all materials are consumed in First-In-First-Out (FIFO) order.
- Receive and process incoming shipments; log lot information on working spreadsheet for each incoming shipment.
- Pick, pack, and process outgoing orders.
- Perform equipment and facility maintenance as assigned; maintain documentation of all maintenance.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Warehouse Operations Manager or Plant Manager.
Education and Experience:
- Required: Arithmetic ability sufficient to perform the following three tasks: Counting (the act of enumerating or determining the number of items in a group); Measuring (the act or process of ascertaining the extent, dimensions, or quantity of something); Computing (the act or process of performing mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Required: Basic computer skills including typing, internet navigation, e-mail usage, data entry
- Required: Good verbal and written communication skills to work with the sales and accounting group, trucking companies, and selected vendors
- Required: One or more years in a manufacturing, maintenance and/or warehouse environment
- Desired: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Desired: Familiarity with UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics NAV software.
- Desired: Forklift operator’s license, Commercial Driver’s License
