Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing inventory levels to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our warehouse or distribution center. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of inventory management principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:


1. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

2. Coordinate with purchasing and receiving departments to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock.

3. Maintain inventory management systems and software to track inventory movements and transactions.

4. Monitor inventory turnover rates and aging stock, taking proactive measures to prevent obsolescence.

5. Develop and implement procedures for Inventory Control and cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy.

6. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory flow and minimize stockouts.

8. Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and inventory related KPIs for management review.

9. Entering Count Results in the ERP System, Posting and Closing the batch after obtaining the count results

10. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in inventory management practices.


Requirements:


1. Minimum of 1-year experience (3 years preferred); High School Diploma or Equivalent

2. Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.

3. Strong understanding of inventory management principles, procedures, and best practices.

4. Proficiency in inventory management software and systems

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

8. Experience with cycle counting, inventory audits, and reconciliation processes.

9. Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods of time; lifting requirements 50 to 80 lbs.

10. Must have reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Education

Preferred
  • High School or better in General Studies
  • GED or better in General Studies
