Job Description
Inventory Control Agent oversees all property and equipment purchase functions within the Devens DPW, including contract administration, procurement, maintenance records management, and other duties as assigned in support of the department.
Under the direction of the DPW Director, the Inventory Control Agent oversees all property and equipment purchase functions within the Devens Department of Public Works including contract administration, procurement, maintenance records management, and other duties as assigned in support of the department operations.
Essential Functions:
Develop inventory controls for all property owned by MassDevelopment.
Count material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records.
Prepare reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
Stock and issue materials, equipment, and supplies.
Compile data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.
Create assets and parts in Work Order System.
Compare nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
Keep an up-to-date library of catalogs, brochures, current price lists, and supply information.
Communicate with vendors to obtain price quotes and delivery information.
Provide tracking of all purchases to ensure we work within allocated operating and capital budgets.
Comply with warehouse environment safety rules and regulations, and attend internal and outside safety seminars and courses, as applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
5 years related experience, or a combination of training and experience.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Positive customer-centric focus, with ability to effectively interact with the public.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of inventory control software programs.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid state-issued driver's license.
Valid Massachusetts Class 1C, Hoisting Engineers license, or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
CDL license a plus.
Massachusetts Class 2A, Hoisting Engineers license a plus.
Bilingual a plus.
