Federal Data Systems is looking for an Intrusion Analyst I, II, and III to support a National Security Mission. Analysts will conduct analysis on data derived from communication systems to characterize information.
Essential Job Functions- Analyze target digital network data to discover, analyze, and document malicious and unauthorized activity using information collected from a variety of SIGINT and computer network defense resources.
- Analyze metadata collected from tasked communications systems in order to identify, locate, and track targets, and to accurately report the intelligence gained from metadata analysis.
- Categorize traffic as benign, suspicious, or malicious activity, and document malicious tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Focus on network and/or host-based activity.
- Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Level I - Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience, Associates degree with 4 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
- Level II - Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience, Associates degree with 7 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position
- Level III - Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, Associates degree with 10 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position
- Bachelor'sDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline from accredited college or university.
- Relevant experience must be in malware analysis, Programming experience in C, C#, C++, Java, Perl, or Python is preferred. CISSP, GIAC GREM or CREA Certification is preferred for level I.
- CISSP, CEH, Sec+, Net+, GIAC GREM and/or CREA Certification is required for level II and III.
- Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI with FS Poly.
Working Conditions:
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
Physical Requirements:
May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
Background Screening/Check/Investigation:
Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
