Summary:
As a Human Resources Intern, you will gain valuable real-world work experience in the HR Department of an insurance brokerage and risk management consultancy, with a national presence and an international reach. You will have hands-on exposure to daily human resources functions, while also receiving an introduction to the insurance industry.
The internship will begin June 5, 2023 and will run through August 4, 2023, but our hope is that the lessons you learn will carry forward as you later embark on your career in your chosen field. Exact dates will be posted as we get closer to the internship.
One Plexus intern will have the opportunity to enter to receive a $5,000 scholarship towards their college education, sponsored by the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting functions, mainly by working with college career center contacts to research and document on-campus recruiting options
- Work with the HR Department on completing general administrative functions
- Assist with onboarding program and help to implement improvement initiatives
- Gain exposure to various benefit platforms
- Works independently and as part of a team to complete special projects
- Plans and helps to execute events, as directed by the Sr. Vice President, Human Resources
Required Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program is required. Majors in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred
- Candidates should be entering their junior or senior year of college
- Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Be a self-starter
- Be detail-oriented
- Learns quickly
- Enjoys teamwork and cultivating relationships
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Has work experience demonstrating strong technical and / or client service skills
- Has a passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client
- Possesses intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
