INTERN - THERAPIST TRAINEE
The intern will support management-level staff and assist in clinical treatment services by providing in a way that maximizes client independence and as applicable family empowerment. This may also include, with supervision, providing individual and/or group therapeutic/counseling services to clients.

- Practicum Requirements (hours supervised/unsupervised by supervisor)
- RGSI Certification and Registration (CCAPP)
- Recent Health Screen/Physical
- TB Clearance
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Proof of COVID19 Vaccination
- Live Scan Clearance (Mental Health Locations)
- Valid Driver License
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interns will have the following
At least 1 yearexperience working with trauma, addiction, eating disorder or mental health disorders preferred.
Is currently enrolled in a Master's level MFT or LPCC program.
Is creative, responsive, and passionate about their treatment approach with patients
Interested in bringing creative ideas, passion, and expertise to further enrich and develop our dynamic program
Has background and experience with psychodynamic, family systems, DBT, CBT, attachment-focused, and humanistic approaches
Can cultivate a compassionate and empathic healing space for our clients
Has ability to recognize countertransference issues and can actively seek supervision and peer support
Is skilled in EMDR, somatic work, brain-spotting and other therapeutic modalities, or is willing to seek training
TRAINEE RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position's job responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
- Group therapy
- Intake assessments
- Bio-psychosocials
- Suicide risk assessments
- Crisis management
- Case management
- Insurance care coordination and utilization reviews Treatment planning/progress notes
- Participate in collaborative therapeutic, work environment
- Reports directly to Clinical Director
