Intern Chemist

May perform all or some of the following:

• Perform chemical analyses, tests and determinations
• Responsibility for the instrumentation you will use
• Assist with technical report writing
• Work on research and development projects with full-time chemists
• Learn and develop ability to interpret test results and determine their technical significance
• Oversee an individually assigned lab for the term in which you are assigned

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

• Basic knowledge of college-level chemistry and chemical names/terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated computer ability: Microsoft products including Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently
• A strong interest to work in a Chemical Plant environment long term
• Close attention to detail
• Troubleshooting skills
