Job Description
Medi Home Care, a division of Medical Services of America Inc., currently seeks a full-time Intake Coordinator for our Home Medical Equipment (HME) location in Florence, Marion, Darlington, Hartsville and Lake City Counties in SC.
This person will be responsible for:
- Answers, screens and directs telephone calls in a polite and professional manner.
- Receives orders from referral sources and maintains log of referrals.
- Communicates new referrals/reoccurring deliveries to Logistics Manager for scheduling customer set up.
- Coordinates all customer information and establishes customer records while ensuring all information and records are current and complete.
- Monitors and records customer, physician and referral source communications. Notifies appropriate personnel of a particular service or response.
- Ensures all qualifying documentation is received prior to delivery.
- Completes insurance verifications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Works suspended revenue on a daily basis and assists with inventory as requested.
- Processes over-the-counter cash transactions and performs end-of-the-day cash account balancing.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of home care products and services offered by the company and all applicable insurance guidelines regarding eligibility for coverage and reimbursement.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Previous medical office or HME industry experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and auto-liability insurance required.
- Excellent telephone and customer service skills
