Primary responsibilities include selling and closing deals to effectively achieve business objectives in small ticket factoring. This position requires a successful record of developing business relationships and an understanding of banking regulations. This individual will be responsible for creating interest in our products and services, meeting sales goals, negotiation, sales planning, building relationships, managing processes, and closing business in their pipeline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Contact prospects and referral sources through outbound phone calls to achieve individual and organization sales objectives.
- Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
- Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Underwriting, Operations, marketing, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities, inbound call volume and participate in a variety of sales campaigns.
- Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
- Present our solutions to small business owners
- Attend commercial finance & borrower industry meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.
- Maintain a full understanding of all of the company’s products and promote those offerings.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Two years experience in a sales role with a commercial financial service or asset-based lending organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred but not required.
- A solid record of successful sales and client relations.
- Ability to travel on occasion as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals ranging from executives, managers, and clients.
- Ability to utilize software packages including accounting software, MS Office and other financial software packages.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to compile and prepare reports.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
