Our client's Network and System Engineering team needs candidates well-versed in both Active Directory and DNS (Dynamic Name Service) to assist their current team with overflow operational work, as well as several projects.
DNS Description:
The Infrastructure Systems Engineer role is primarily responsible for assisting in deploying and managing our client's DNS systems. Today our client has a mix of Windows DNS and Infoblox for internal DNS while they leverage the UltraDNS solution for their external resolutions.
This role is responsible for analysis, configuration and maintenance of complex systems based on a thorough knowledge of Systems Engineering as well as programming concepts and techniques. This role includes managing operating systems, device drivers, utilities, and software. The Infrastructure Systems Engineer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Infrastructure Systems Engineer maintains and modifies systems software for use internally, conducts requirements gathering and analysis, Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 or more years as a Systems Engineer in design, analysis, configuration and maintenance of complex systems software solutions, based on a thorough knowledge of Systems Engineering and extensive experience managing and maintaining enterprise class DNS solutions.
- Must have experience with DNS Infoblox - specifically the ability to work with Infoblox API's

Active Directory Description:
This Systems Administrator role is primarily responsible for working with Windows Active Directory and Azure AD. While AAD experience and certification is helpful in this role, the majority of this work will be in AD services as we perform schema upgrades, test new GPOs, maintain LDAP and Kerberos capabilities and provide support for ancillary Windows services like ADFS and ADRM. This role is responsible for complex support of the company's information technology, applications and servers, which includes analysis, installation, testing, maintenance, operations, planning, response to service outages, and other problems. This position ensures the integration of various elements of technology so that they function effectively for end users. The Systems Administrator work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Systems Administrator maintains and monitors servers ensuring proper administration of software licensing and updates. The position may configure, maintain, and monitor security access control systems. The position may work with the disaster recovery function in planning and coordinating business continuity efforts, including backup and restoration of data and ensuring high systems availability. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of corporate IT experience with general networking and server knowledge - specifically supporting the AD platform
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Access
