We are seeking an Information Technology Specialist to assist in the coordination and administration of the agency’s information system network, including the configuration and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software and the implementation of upgrades to the information systems, including preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and improves current functionality of agency hardware and software
- Performs upgrades to computer systems including hardware and software
- Troubleshoots and resolves computer hardware and software-related issues
- Performs preventative maintenance on systems
- Utilizes ticketing system and documentation of resolutions
- Works closely with the Junior Systems Administrator, and when needed assumes the roles and responsibilities for this position, including on-call responsibilities
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science and/or a minimum of one year hands-on computer-related experience
- A+ Certification preferred
- Knowledgeable in PC-compatible computer hardware and software including: Windows 10 and 11, Office 365, Azure AD, internet access, anti-virus, etc.
- Network experience is helpful, specifically with knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, firewalls, and wireless networking
- Ability to implement current technology and advancements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Successful candidates must pass all background checks, including a drug test, and must be fully vaccinated. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation

Schedule:
- 7.5 hour shift (35 hours per week)

- Will be expected to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed (i.e. on-call)
Work Location: 250 Cooper Avenue, Tonawanda
Local travel between sites will be required and the incumbent will be expected to have a reliable form of transportation.
