The City of Springfield's Information Systems Department is seeking an Information Systems Security Analyst. This is a new position assigned to protects the City of Springfield's cyber infrastructure including network and hardware devices through actively monitoring for security issues and developing protocols to anticipate and protect against threats.
The Department of Information Systems is to provide excellence in information technology solutions and services that will facilitate the vision, objectives and goals of the City of Springfield. We are responsible for implementing and maintaining the technology for the City, including:
- Constructing and maintaining an effective communications network capable of supporting our mission;
- Acquiring computer hardware and software in cooperation with all city departments by partnering with strategic solutions providers and providing leadership during implementation;
- Implementing, securing, and maintaining the City Information Technology resources and investments.
Experience, Education, and Training
- Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related functional area degree;
AND
- Three years of cyber security experience or related experience;
OR
- Graduation from an accredited college or university Associate's Degree in Computer Science, or a related degree;
AND
- Five years of experience in cyber security related experience.
Licensing/Certification
- Certifications include CISSP, CompTIA Security+, GIAC information Security Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator.
