This position staffs the airport information booth and handles lost & Found items to provide excellent customer service to passengers by answering inquiries, directing travelers, and assisting with lost & Found items.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Staffs the information booth in the airport terminal during assigned shifts
- Provides accurate directions and information regarding airport services, ground transportation, terminals, gates, etc.
- Answers questions and assists passengers with requests for information.
- Fields inquiries, complaints, and requests for assistance from travelers and visitors
- Refers issues to supervisor when needed to ensure proper resolution.
- Performs lost & Found duties including recording items that are turned in, storing properly with detailed logs, coordinating return of items to owners, preparing unclaimed items for further handling.
- Maintains appearance of booth by keeping counter neat, materials stocked, floors vacuumed, etc.
- Uses computer systems to log lost & Found items or access information for passengers.
- Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, ideally within an airport or transportation setting, is highly desirable.
Experience handling lost and found items, maintaining records, and assisting customers with inquiries is a significant advantage.
Familiarity with airport operations, facilities, and services is preferred.
