Description Industrial ElectricianGeorgia-Pacific Gypsum in Savannah, GA is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as an Industrial Electrician. This highly skilled position will support our operations efficiency through troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment and processes. Industrial Electricians are required to have a thorough understanding of safe work practices and troubleshooting and maintenance for manufacturing equipment.This position starts at $32.00 per hour and up depending on experience. Our Industrial Electricians work a rotating shift (4-on, 4-off) that includes weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. For more information on Georgia Pacific’s Gypsum Division please visitwww.buildgp.com/georgia-pacific-gypsum.Address: 151 Wahlstrom Rd., Savannah, GA 31404What You Will Do In Your RoleAdhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures and actively participating in the safety programFollowing all good manufacturing practices (GMPs) guidelines for production of corrugated paper productsPerforming various reactive and preventative maintenance tasks on production equipmentUses experience to identify and implement improvementsWorking with automation, production, and computer systemsResearching parts in electrical/mechanical manuals and submitting order formsTroubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure production continuity and efficiencyResponding to operator, quality and/or supervisor requests on equipment specificationsAssisting operators or crew members with machine start-up, shutdown or clean upCommunicating daily work performed and machine conditions via written and verbal documentationPerform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environmentThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:A minimum of four (4) years of electrical/electronic or instrument & control troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with industrial controls PLCs, motor controls, control valves, and electrical distributionExperience with industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, and temperatureExperience reading and following electrical and mechanical schematics / blueprintsWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Industrial EngineeringExperience in repairing, troubleshooting, and programming PLCs, HMIs, and operator interfacesMechanical maintenance experience, including fluid handling and conveyor systems, hydraulic systems and accumulators, and valve identification and application and weldingExperience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCsExperience programming variable frequency drives (VFDs)Distributed Control (DC) experienceExperience with a Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)High School Diploma or GEDOur goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
