The wage range for this position is $42000 - $52000 / year with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job. This is a full time position with benefits. As part of our commitment to a flexible work schedule, this role does not have a set amount of vacation per year.  This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the Tampa office required. (No relocation assistance offered.)

You will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of tax entries, reconciliations, and reporting to support monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements. Your role will work closely with colleagues in our Tampa facility and Canadian headquarters, as well as collaborate with our outsourcing provider in India (US hours only).

Responsibilities:

• Review orders to ensure proper tax application (Sales, Use)
• Preparing journal entries, supporting schedules and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of tax accounts
• Efficiently, timely and accurately prepare sales and use tax returns, including processing of payments and filing
• Support preparation of federal forms 1099, 1098, and state 941 forms
• Prepare monthly Canadian GST/HST, QST and PST returns, including online filing and processing of payments
• Collaborate with other business units to review product taxability, and system testing
• Research tax statutes, regulations and rules to assure conformity with authorities in Pitney Bowes business jurisdiction
• Document current state processes, where they don’t exist
• Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) set by internal customers
• Support internal and external audits including preparation of audit support and responding to auditor inquiries for various business jurisdictions Pitney Bowes operates within

Background:

• Associates degree (Accounting, Finance & Business)
• 1-3 years of professional experience preparing sales / use tax analysis
• Detail and deadline oriented
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical, computational and mathematical abilities
• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
• Knowledge of financial and tax systems; SAP, Hyperion and Vertex preferred
•  Must be legally authorized to work in the US.  Employer will not sponsor position for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H-1B).
