I&E Technician
We are currently looking for an experienced Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to provide technical support for ongoing field development within our New Town, North Dakota office.The successful candidate will interface with Marathon employees, contractor employees, and vendors. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of field automation systems, SCADA equipment, and communications systems. Office work will require computer skills and the utilization of automation software. Individual must be capable of troubleshooting oil and gas process instrumentation systems in the field. The position will also require some after-hour call-outs and weekend duties.
Responsibilities:
- High focus on Safety, Health, and environment
- New production facility commissioning
- SCADA communications maintenance and troubleshooting
- Instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment including but not limited to - Level master Rods, Guided Wave Radar, Recycle Pump Motors, Chemical pumps, Burner Management Systems, Heat Trace, ESD Actuators, High-Level Switches, Guided Wave Radar, Pressure Transmitters, EZ Drive Valve Actuators, Liquid and Gas Metering Equipment and Solar/Wind Power Generation Equipment.
- Program monitoring and minor modifications to PLC's - XRC/ROC/Allen Bradley
- Artificial lift systems installs and maintenance including but not limited to Lufkin, Weatherford & Bakers Hughes equipment
- Utilize SAP PM and Click to ensure appropriate maintenance data collection.
- Special Projects - As assigned
- PSSR's on all new installations and major maintenance work
- Training new hires and current employees
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Instrumentation and control certificate or degree preferred.
Experience:
Oil and Gas field operations experience preferred; hands-on experience with automation devices preferred.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using the following ROC Link, Crimson, Level Master Configurator, Radar Master Configurator, Freewave Tool Suite & PCCU is preferred.
Work Schedule:
The selected candiate will work an 8 and 6 schedule.
