Description

Position Overview: SAIC is seeking a highly motivated and talented intern to join our Innovation Factory Hyperautomation Team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects using the Power Platform and other tools. This position offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the field of hyperautomation while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals and supporting development of products for use internal to SAIC.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions using the Power Platform and other relevant tools.
  2. Collaborate with team members to identify automation opportunities and propose innovative solutions.
  3. Conduct research and analysis to understand business processes and identify areas for automation improvement.
  4. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for process automation and optimization.
  5. Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, user manuals, and technical specifications.
  6. Support the testing and debugging of automation solutions to ensure their functionality and efficiency.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
  8. Adhere to established coding standards and best practices to ensure the quality and maintainability of automation solutions.

Qualifications:

  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Strong interest in automation, process improvement, and emerging technologies.
  3. Familiarity with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
  4. Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  8. Prior experience with process automation or familiarity with robotic process automation (RPA) is desirable
  9. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
