Responsibilities of the QA Automation Engineer include:
- Work with Consumer Credit Policy product owners and rules developers to strategize test scenarios for various types of policies and features.
- Engineer test suites to validate various types of software applications including, but not limited to web UI, Agent applications, RESTful APIs, and web services.
- Develops software quality assurance (SQA) test plans for assigned projects.
- Setup of QA automation and performance testing infrastructure to create complex end-end and integration tests.
- Provide technical support for identifying, reporting, tracking, and resolving daily operational problems in credit systems, make formal recommendations regarding enhancements or changes.
- Document and communicate test results and system defects to stakeholders. Properly escalate risks to appropriate parties.
- Assist and support internal stakeholders in testing complex credit policy rules.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate internal processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assist developers with test development.
Qualifications for the QA Automation Engineer include:
- 3+ years of experience with at least one server-side web technology and language: Java, C#, Python, SQL
- Background and understanding of the banking/financial institution industry
- Experience with modern/opensource tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Jmeter, is required.
- Experience building or working with RESTful web services via JSON or XML.
- Understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics is required.
Compensation for the QA Automation Engineer include:
- Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000 -- $55/hr - $60/hr **depending on experience**
